Travel back to the year the Stratocaster was born. The AmberPickups Strat '54 Set isn’t just a replica—it’s a time capsule. Designed for purists and tone hunters, these pickups capture the spirit and soul of the original 1954 era with uncompromising precision.

The Sound: Clarity Meets Character. At the heart of these pickups are authentic AlNiCo 3 magnets. Compared to more aggressive magnets, these deliver a slightly lower output that lets your tone breathe. The result is an incredibly bell-like tone with a percussive, powerful attack. These pickups truly shine when paired with a good tube amplifier: they respond sensitively to your touch and deliver that legendary “wooden” tone that modern high-output pickups often lack.

Historical accuracy down to the last detail: We make no compromises. Each coil is hand-wound with heavy Formvar wire and sits on stamped, black vulcanized fiber (flatwork)—exactly as it was 70 years ago.

Vintage vibe with modern convenience. While we’ve preserved the vintage tone, we’ve added a feature that every active musician will love: the middle pickup is reverse-wound/reverse-polarity (RWRP). This means that in the middle positions (2 and 4), you’ll enjoy complete hum-free performance. Not entirely historically accurate, but a modern refinement that keeps your live sound clean.
